RECENT EVENTS

On Saturday June 28th the Sherrills Ford Lions held a highly successful classic car show. Over 90 cars were registered and on display. Spectators enjoyed the event which brought back fond memories to some who wished they had held on to those rolling parts of their past in which first dates, first kisses and honeymoons occurred. Money raised at this event through the sale of registrations, games and food will be used to support programs for the blind and hearing impaired of Catawba County, including Camp Dogwood.

Among the participants were Don and Sharon Lyon of Sherrills Ford who displayed their Chrysler Woody with toys. Randy and Jane Setzer of Catawba proudly displayed their 1936 Ford which has been in Jane's family for forty years. David Dellinger, also of Catawba, showed off his pink and black 1955 Crown Victoria.
